Symphoni Henry, an esteemed educator from Chicago, has excelled at DCPS over the past five years, serving in roles like College and Career Coordinator and currently as Program Coordinator for the Early College Academy at Coolidge. Her dedication to educational access is evident through her work in bridging the gap between secondary and post-secondary education. Recognized as the 2020 College Board Regional Fellow for Washington, DC, and the recipient of the 2021 American College Application Campaign Educator of Excellence Award, Symphoni is renowned for her commitment to advancing educational equity. With a master's degree in Instructional Leadership and Education Policy Studies from The University of Illinois at Chicago, coupled with expertise in career exposure, exploration, and internship awareness, she maximizes opportunities for underserved communities through strategic partnerships.
 



Sekenia Welch

College and Career Coordinator, District of Columbia Public Schools

Sekenia Welch is a dedicated education professional with a passion for empowering students to reach their full potential. Holding a Master of Education from Regent University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from James Madison University, Sekenia has honed his expertise in educational leadership and college advising. With over a decade of experience in the education sector, Sekenia currently serves as the College and Career Coordinator at Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School in the District of Columbia Public Schools. Here, he spearheads initiatives to provide comprehensive college and career counseling, ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed.
