James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to the children and grandchildren of active, retired, or deceased Teamsters.

Requirements

This program is open to the children or grandchildren of active, retired, disabled, deceased, or laid-off members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters with at least 12 months of consecutive membership in good standing.

Applicants for academic scholarships must be high school seniors in the top 15% of their graduating class who plan to attend an accredited college or university; applicants for training and vocational scholarships must be preparing for a career in a teamsterrelated industry.

Canadian students may apply during their junior or senior year of high school but not both.

Selection is based on academic achievement, SAT/ACT scores, character, potential, and financial need.

Recipients of the 4year scholarships must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
