Can any student sign up to be an Ambassador?

Students under the age of 13 cannot sign up to be a BigFuture Ambassador. Ambassadors must currently attend high schools in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, or any other U.S. territories and possessions or attend a Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) school overseas. Past Ambassadors are required to re-apply.
When does the program start and end?
The 2026-27 Ambassador Program runs from September 2026 to May 2027.
What if I can’t post on social media or join Discord?
If you don’t post on social media or join Discord, participation in the program may be challenging. Ambassadors do everything they can to share BigFuture often with as many people as possible. Every Ambassador will have their own link to share with friends. If you don’t use social media, sharing your link and participating in Ambassador programming will be hard. Ambassadors also use Discord to stay in touch with each other and the BigFuture team.
How will you help Ambassadors share BigFuture?
Every Ambassador will receive their own link and QR code to regularly share BigFuture throughout the program. The program team will provide supplementary materials and guidance to help Ambassadors share what they’re learning as they find their personal fit with their friends
When are Ambassador meetings?
Ambassadors will meet monthly throughout the program. Our onboarding meeting will be held on Monday, September 28 at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT and Tuesday, September 29 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on Zoom. You only have to attend one of the meetings. If accepted, the remainder of our meeting schedule will be shared

Our 2026-27 program application is live now and will close on Sunday, September 13 at midnight E.T./ 9 p.m. PT.
How do I apply, and is there a deadline?
You can apply via our application which is live now on our webpage. The application deadline is Sunday, September 13 at midnight E.T./9 p.m. PT
When will I find out if I’m accepted?
All applicants who apply by the application deadline will be notified via email no later than Friday, September 25. If you don’t see an email in your inbox, we encourage you to check your spam.
Why do students become Ambassadors?
Past Ambassadors stepped up because they wanted to help their friends. They also appreciated the recognition they earn for their leadership. BigFuture will notify your school if you’re selected for the program. You can also include this activity on your college applications or resume. Ambassadors can earn merch through our competitions that recognize students for sharing BigFuture.org with their links and QR codes.
Why is there an application to be in the program?
The demand for this program is greater than the number of students we’re able to support, which is why we have an application. We hope to grow more in the future. If you’re not accepted to participate this term, we encourage you to apply again in the future.
