Atua Emu
Director of Post-Secondary Counseling, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate 

For over thirteen years, Atua Emu has been dedicated to assisting metropolitan Atlanta students in reaching their goals after high school, specializing in college and career readiness. Currently, she leads a team of five Post-Secondary Counselors within KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, where they empower scholars to research colleges and careers every day in the classroom.

A native of Decatur, Georgia, Atua obtained her Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Communications with minors in Africana Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys concerts, spending time with her family, exploring outdoor farmers markets, and taking long walks with her dog, Malcolm.
 


Stacey Foney
Director, Counselor Community Engagement, College Board

Stacey Foney is a Director on the College Board Counselor Community Engagement team. Prior to joining The College Board, Stacey worked in school counseling for 21 years in Georgia, primarily on the high school level. During her time in counseling, she served in various leadership roles such as Head Counselor, Director of Guidance, and Director of High School Programs. Her passion was helping students graduate on time and pursue their postsecondary dreams, especially those who are first generation and students who are often overlooked. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in Sociology and History, her Master’s degree from the University of Georgia in School Counseling, and her Educational Specialist degree from the University of West Georgia in Educational Leadership and Administration. Stacey enjoys her work with the Counselor Community Engagement team as it allows her to support counselors in their worthy mission of helping students realize their goals.
