FAQ

What types of organizations can send me information if I opt in to Student Search?

After opting in to Student Search, you may start receiving information that helps you learn about scholarship opportunities and start conversations with colleges. The organizations that reach out to you are first approved by the College Board and must meet strict eligibility requirements.

There are only three types of organizations that are eligible to participate in Student Search Service:

  • Nonprofit Higher Education Institution
  • Nonprofit Scholarship Provider
  • Government Agency

College Board takes careful steps to facilitate access to Student Search. To safeguard student data and privacy, only mission-aligned nonprofit organizations and their authorized users are eligible to use these services.
