Would a career in Information Technology be a good fit?

Offering both creative and technical careers, there is a lot of variety in the IT field, from ensuring information security, digital forensics, web development and support or designing and developing software applications!  

Some things to keep in mind when considering a career in Information Technology:  

• A willingness to learn is important in this industry, as it changes and upgrades constantly. Workers could need to new software, code language and variety of other technologies on an ongoing basis.  

• Although most work in the IT industry is done in front of a computer screen, there are fields that could involve more hands-on work in fixing, maintaining or building equipment.  

• In many IT careers, important characteristics include attention to detail, flexibility and cooperation.
