The Bill Bendiner and Doug Morgenson Scholarship is available to LGBTQ+ and allied students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington who are pursuing postsecondary education. Students pursuing a career in human services, health sciences, or visual arts are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington for a minimum of three months prior to the application deadline or lived within the state for at least one out of the five prior years

High school senior, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, medical, or law student

Seeking a professional certification, associate, bachelor's, graduate, law, medical degree, or Ph.D.

Pursuing a career in human services, health sciences, or visual arts

LGBTQIA+

Proven leadership potential in the LGBTQ+ community or field of study

Lack of a broader LGBTQ+ community support system

Encountered additional barriers to education, including economic, racial, social, geographical, or being politically disenfranchised

Demonstrate financial need
