East Texas Baptist University's legacy, beginning with the establishment of the College of Marshall over 100 years ago, remains committed to Christ by meeting students where they are and propelling them to where God has called them to be. Beyond the classroom, the court, and the quad, East Texas Baptist is connecting students to their passion and equipping them for their purpose. With a 44% percent increase in enrollment over the last 10 years, ETBU continues to proclaim God's truths and equip His disciples as described in the mission statement. As a Christ-centered institution, East Texas Baptist University educates students by integrating biblical faith and learning to develop mind, body, and soul through community engagement to prepare graduates to be Christian servant leaders in their calling to God and humanity. The ETBU student experience is characterized by Christian faith integration. Through ministries, missions, chapel, worship, Bible studies, discipleship, and prayer, students encounter the Lord and discover His plan for their future. Taught by faculty pursuing excellence in Christ, students receive individualized instruction and the resources necessary to succeed. ETBU programs provide an accessible and affordable avenue for students to earn a quality, Christ-centered education. ETBU offers more than 45 undergraduate programs and 15 graduate programs, recently adding programs such as Bachelor of Science in Health Science, Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry and Mental Health, Master of Science in Sport Management, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Master of Arts in Strategic Communication. Students receive opportunities to apply course content outside of the classroom: service learning initiatives, student organizations, intramurals, club sports, and NCAA athletics. Actively involved in revitalizing the community, ETBU partners with local ministries to promote economic growth in Marshall, address poverty, and show Christ's love. Students also receive opportunities to serve across the globe through the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience and Global Study and Serve programs.
