From the Institution
George Fox is Oregon's nationally recognized Christian university and Oregon's largest private college. Our promise is that students will Be Known -- personally, academically and spiritually. We provide students with personal attention, global opportunities to learn and serve, and a supportive community that encourages academic rigor and spiritual growth. Small class sizes allow for personal attention from faculty who integrate their Christian faith into the curriculum. Funds are provided for independent undergraduate research, and a robust study abroad program offers more than two dozen domestic and international locations. A culture of volunteer service is encouraged through an all-campus Serve Day and serve trips during school breaks. Student clubs and activities abound, and the university offers NCAA Division III athletics and numerous intramural sports. The proximity of the Pacific Ocean, Mt. Hood, Central Oregon and other attractions allow for outdoor recreation.
