The northern-most of Kent State University's eight-campus system is centrally located between Cleveland, Erie and Youngstown. Kent State University at Ashtabula provides a variety of high-quality areas of study. Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, Kent State Ashtabula is home to Ashtabula County's only accredited registered nursing (RN) degree program and Ohio's first wine degree program. The campus offers over 30 degree programs (bachelor's, associate and certificates) for 2,000 students in an advanced, modern environment. Part of one of the largest university systems in Ohio, Kent State Ashtabula has all the resources of a major university with a hometown atmosphere, including the look and feel of a small, private college (12:1 student-to-faculty ratio). Embracing the ever-changing dynamic of education, Kent State Ashtabula houses the nation's first physical therapist assistant transition program specifically for certified athletic trainers, Ohio's first hybrid occupational therapy program, regionally niche programs, such as viticulture, enology and hospitality and event management, burgeoning fields like cybersecurity and computer forensics, and a satellite respiratory therapy campus in partnership with the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. KSU Ashtabula students fulfill an over 60-year tradition when they become nurses, business owners, computer technologists, respiratory therapists, educators, entrepreneurs, innovators, dreamers and leaders. You can see Lake Erie from campus, and you are only minutes away from beaches, museums, award-winning restaurants, historic districts and a summer resort town. All at a fraction of the cost of larger residential public and private colleges. Plus, with over $280,000 awarded annually in scholarships and aid, Kent State Ashtabula makes college affordable and accessible to everyone.
