From the Institution

The State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill (SUNY Cobleskill) has been a pioneer in applied learning for more than a century. An accredited residential college, SUNY Cobleskill offers 56 baccalaureate and associate degree programs, preparing students for successful careers, advanced studies, and engaged citizenship. Our students live and learn on a modern, 902-acre campus that features outstanding educational facilities. Our campus includes state-of-the-art classrooms and science laboratories, a contiguous farm with an equestrian center and a 200-cow dairy facility, agricultural engineering laboratories, the largest cold-water fish hatchery in the Northeast, a USDA-approved meat laboratory, a student-run restaurant, and nationally accredited child development and childcare centers. To better prepare students to flourish in their careers, our College takes the lead by adding specialized degree programs in response to student demand and market need: Cybersecurity, Food Systems and Technology, Applied Fermentation, and Therapeutic Horsemanship, to name a few. SUNY Cobleskill's Canine Training and Management Bachelor of Technology degree program is the first of its kind in the United States. Degree programs such as Wildlife Management, Agricultural Equipment Technology, Histotechnology, and Applied Psychology, attract students seeking the best education possible in those fields. The Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources integrates three major academic programs - Plant Sciences, Fisheries & Wildlife, and Animal Sciences - to create a synergy between the departments and provide students access to the latest technologies. The building hosts state-of-the-art greenhouses, a 40,000-gallon cold-water fish hatchery, green roofs, and much more. SUNY Cobleskill offers its students numerous opportunities to fully experience collegiate life. Campus-wide events, more than 50 student clubs, and residence hall councils are just a few of the leadership opportunities on campus. Students may participate in a full array of intramural and intercollegiate athletics; the Fighting Tigers compete at the NCAA Division III level in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC).
