The University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla (UPRAg) was established in 1972 in the city of Aguadilla, along the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, and is one of the eleven campuses of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) System. Accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) since 1976, the Mission of the UPRAg is to educate our students and foster in each one of them the skills and abilities of learning, leadership and service that prepares them for a successful career in arts, natural sciences, business disciplines, technologies, and aeronautics and aerospace. This educational institution offers twelve (12) bachelor's degrees and two (2) associate degrees. It also offers more than thirty articulated transfer programs to other UPR campuses. The four-year programs with the highest enrollment are Biology, Accounting, Aeronautics and Aerospace Technology and Science in Electronic Engineering Technology. In 2022, the institution awarded three hundred and thirty-nine (339) academic degrees. And, as reported on IPEDS, the retention rate for the 2020-2021 cohort of baccalaureate programs was 76% and the graduation rate for the 2015-2016 cohort of baccalaureate programs was 43%.
