Banking and Finance

A program that prepares individuals to perform a wide variety of customer services in banks, insurance agencies, savings and loan companies, and related enterprises. Includes instruction in communications and public relations skills, business equipment operation, and technical skills applicable to the methods and operations of specific financial or insurance services.

A career in finance requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills. You can work with individuals, companies, or government agencies to analyze their financial position and offer sound investment strategies. 

As a finance major, you’ll learn how to solve problems, manage projects, and make informed decisions using mathematical concepts and analytical tools. Because you’ll have the skills to monitor and analyze the economy, financial markets, and banks, you’ll help your future employer or clients make strategic investments. Your undergraduate studies will give you foundational skills to effectively communicate and lay out plans for long-term financial growth.
