How can I receive Connections messages?
To start receiving Connections™ messages, open the app, click the menu listed in the top right, select “Messages” and toggle the In-App Messages to On (blue).
- At this time, email is not available, but if you’re interested in receiving email when it becomes available, please toggle that tab to On (blue).
You’ll be prompted to read the Application Rules and Privacy Statement and select Yes.
I want to opt out of receiving messages from colleges in the app/Connections.
Go to the app settings by clicking the person icon in the top right of the screen. On the settings page, you can change your communications preferences for in-app messages and email and print communications.
Can I opt back in after I opt out?
Yes. If your school and district allow you can turn Connections on and off as you like. You will not receive messages while you’re opted out.
- You may miss direct mail sent to your home if you’re opted out when that mailing is sent.
- You will not receive messages but they will restart if you opt back in. Messages you have already received will remain in your feed.
- Each time you opt in to Connections, you will be presented with the Connections description and must confirm you want to participate.
I can’t turn on Connections messages.
Messages from nonprofit colleges, scholarship programs, and education organizations are disabled because your school, district, or state has elected not to participate in Connections. You’ll get a message explaining this. Please speak to your school counselor if you have questions.
