From the Institution
The UCB is located in the north of the island, in the city of Bayamon. The campus is situated in 55 acres of land and comfortably distant from the noisy avenues of the city. Since the early 1970s, the institution has been expanding the physical facilities to strengthen the theoretical courses, laboratories and administrative offices. Today the institution has nine (9) buildings, which provide a total of 199,660 square feet of useful space to accomplish its educational activities. These physical structures encompass academic departments, laboratories, student services offices, library, administrative staff offices, and sports facilities, among others. The institution offers academic degrees at graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of liberal arts, sciences, health professions, education, and business. The institution also has three programmatic accreditations: the Council of Social Work Education for the Bachelor of Social Work program; the Association of Theological Schools for the Masters degrees in Divinity, Biblical Studies and Pastoral Theology; and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education for the Bachelor of Nursing program. UCB is organized in two semesters annual academic calendar for undergraduate programs and three terms annual academic calendar for graduate programs.
