Established in 1927, Bob Jones University is a Christian liberal arts college located in Greenville, South Carolina, offering over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs. BJU's mission is to offer educational experiences that foster the development of Christ-like character that inspires and equips individuals to serve the church and impact the world for Jesus Christ. Academic programs range from the humanities to STEM fields and pre-professional and professional programs including accounting, engineering, and nursing. Extra-curricular activities include nearly 100 student organizations and a strong fine arts and cultural program. A vibrant chapel program is heartbeat of the University. BJU is committed to strengthening character and Christian values, centering all teaching and learning on a biblical worldview, valuing and pursuing excellence, and emphasizing ministry as a lifestyle. BJU is regionally accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and nationally accredited by Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. The nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and is approved by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. BJU's engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The human resources management track in the business administration program is recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management as meeting the SHRM guidelines. BJU's education programs are approved by the South Carolina Department of Education.
