Mitchell Technical College opened in 1968 in a system of post-high school vocational technical education in South Dakota that included four area institutes and the South Dakota Office of Adult, Vocational and Technical Education. More than 19,000 individuals have graduated from Mitchell Tech since it opened. The central mission of the College is to provide job preparatory programs on a full- or part-time basis to all who can benefit. Students will find an amazing variety of occupations open to them after attending Mitchell Tech. Whether they want to communicate with someone on another continent, create a show-stopping meal, build a home for a young family, x-ray a broken arm, or ride off into the sunset on a custom-built motorcycle, Mitchell Tech has 35 face-to-face and 4 online programs, many of them regionally unique, available. We are fully accredited, ensuring access to financial aid. There is no difference in in-state/out-of-state tuition-an education at Mitchell Tech is affordable and a great value. Students will find a friendly, helpful admissions staff and some of the greatest faculty anywhere, ready to listen and offer guidance.
